Table side ordering app

During this product development a lot of user, use and usability testing took place and together with a small team of developers, testing and PM the next generation of a handheld ordering device called Handy was developed. My role was apart from being the only UX designer in the team also researching as well as UI design and creating design guidelines for the team to follow. Handy aimed to be the most intuitive product in the Trivec suit and it was also the first to have a UX designer from the start. The vision and principles were clear in this product: the user should be involved every step of the way. Every flow was validated, iterated and evaluated and this had great results. The application was launched with its first set of functionalities after half a year and instantly the increase in usability was seen. There was an old mobile solution which was seen as the predecessor and Handy managed to increase in Usability with more than 30 percent already the first year. It was also seen in sales pitches around the international organization and was sold as being the first Trivec product that needed zero training before getting started. Due to the great personnel turnover in the restaurant industry this was seen as a huge USP. It was also mainly this product that gave me a nomination for the Verdane talent award in 2021.
